The Revenge Game

by Alice Gaines

Adam Morrow is a self-made millionaire. But one night with her could ruin everything…

I’ve worked my ass off for what I have, and I’m damn proud of it. I started off with nothing and now I’m filthy rich. Let me tell you, there’s nothing like revenge to help you get your ass in gear. And that’s what I’m taking, with every exclusive resort I open—sweet, sweet revenge…on her.

Nicole Westmore was my first love. The poor little rich girl stole my heart with her sweet smile, hot body, and irresistible innocence. The summer I worked for her father was the best time of my life…until he drove me away. Even then, I thought Nicole would wait for me. She didn’t.

And so, I decided to get even, opening rival hotels, slowly driving them out of business. The old man is gone now, but Nicole is still running the company that’s about to collapse. All my hard work will soon pay off.

And then I catch sight of her at a wedding, and all those feelings come rushing back–for both of us. Still, she doesn’t know what I’ve done—yet—and she seems more than willing. What will one night in her bed hurt?

The sex is hotter than ever, and I can’t help wondering if I’ve made a mistake. Until I get up the next morning…and realize I’ve been kidnapped!

Adam sat at the table in their cottage on the cove and watched Nicole prepare dinner. It was exactly the sort of scene he’d fantasized about when he’d been young and in love. And for once in a very long time, he faced an inner struggle.

Did he still hate her? No. Did he still hate her father? Sure, but what was the point? The man was dead, and Adam was having sex with his daughter again. That in itself would have the bastard spinning in his grave.

Did he still want to sink Westmore Hotels? Getting rid of the competition was a good business move, revenge or not.

But the most important issue involved his own emotions. If he was having honeymoon sex, would he be able to walk away when he’d had enough? Hell, would he ever have enough of this woman? Sometime soon, he’d have to return to the office. And she’d have to go back to work. They’d leave here, and then what? Could he do without her, or was he already in too deep?

He’d tried just about everything one body could do with sex, and it had all been fantastic for him and for all his partners. But none of it compared with being with this woman, even in the most ordinary of ways. Emotion—feelings—had to account for the difference. You had honeymoon sex with someone you loved. Grant hadn’t said that, but he’d implied it. Was he falling in love with Nicole all over again? Good God in heaven.

She glanced over her shoulder at him. “You look pensive.”

“I was only wondering if you’ve become domesticated,” he lied.

She laughed. “Not likely. I love to cook, but I’m happy to have someone else clean up.”

“Spoiled little rich girl.”

“There are some good things about being spoiled and rich.” She picked up a colander full of greens and a bowl and approached the table.

“Here,” she said as she put both in front of him. “How good are you at tearing up lettuce for a salad?”

“I promise you, I can tear up anything you want.”

She laughed again. She seemed to do it easily, quite in contrast with the tense woman who’d confronted him at Grant’s sister’s wedding. They were getting along now…more or less. As long as she didn’t find out about Vivian.

She went back to work near the sink, shelling shrimp for a Cajun dish. An array of spices and fresh herbs stood all around her cutting board. This promised to be quite a feast.

He had to end the honeymoon before he lost control of his emotions completely. They were competitors, and he might still end up taking over Westmore Hotels. If he did, she’d hate him, and they’d end up back at square one. No. He had to get back to New York and get some distance from her so he could clear his head and figure out where to go from here.

But first, he had a little treat in store for her, if she liked that kind of thing. He’d made a detour to the resort gift shop and had liberated a few silk scarves. Long ones. Long enough to tie wrists and ankles to the posts at the corners of their bed.

She was wearing shorts that snuggled against her butt in a particularly tempting way. They weren’t super tight, allowing movement, but they still showed off her curves. He’d cupped her buttocks with his palms as he drove himself into her, so the mere act of staring at her aroused him. She might not go for the silk, but he’d definitely have sex with her. One last indulgence before he got her to agree the time had come to return to the real world.

“Why don’t you take a break and come over here?” he said.

She turned and cocked her head, staring at the lettuce she’d put in front of him. “You haven’t touched that.”

“I don’t feel like cooking right now.”

“But dinner…”

“It can wait for a while,” he said.

She put down her knife, turned, and rested her backside against the counter. “What on earth could you possibly have in mind?”

He gave her a grin—that came more easily now, too—and he turned in his chair and patted his knee. “Why don’t you come over here and find out?”

She sauntered toward him. “You’re a sex fiend, you know?”

“I’ve been called worse.”

She sat on his knee and draped her arms around his shoulders. Being this close to her, he could get lost in the emerald gleam of her eyes. They definitely held a wicked twinkle.

“I had a really nasty thought as I watched you on the elliptical today,” he said.

“You were watching me?”

“You know I can’t take my eyes off you,” he said.

“That’s nice.” She pressed her lips against his, just long enough to give him a taste of her. “Really nice.”

With her butt on his thigh, her legs sat near his crotch. Her kisses and the scent of her perfume had already warmed his libido, and his sex thickened and hardened in anticipation of having her yet again. If she’d been a drug, he would have been addicted long before now. This was exactly why he needed some distance. But not quite yet.

“So, anyway…my wicked thought,” he said.

She moved her mouth to his ear and blew into it. “Do tell.”

He shuddered as a bolt of lightning slashed through him. Holy crap, she could turn him on. “A little exotic play, maybe. But only if it excites you.”

She straightened. “Exotic? How?”

“Trust. I’m going to prove to you that I trust you completely.” For now, they’d leave aside the question of whether she could trust him.

She leaned back and looked at him out of the corners of her eyes. “You’re not going to fall backward and trust me to catch you, are you?”

“Nothing quite that innocent,” he said. “I’m going to let you tie me up.”

She hooted. “You’re kidding, right?”

“Only if you want to. It’s your call.”

She stared into his eyes. “You’re serious.”

“There’s a bag from the hotel gift shop in the bedroom. It has enough silk scarves to tie me pretty securely to the bed.”

“I did see that bag.” She bit her lip. “Silk scarves, huh?”

“You wouldn’t hurt me, of course,” he said.

“But I could tie you up, and…”

“Do whatever you want to me.” The more he thought about this plan, the hotter he got. Imagine, her crawling all over him. Getting naked but not allowing him to touch her. He couldn’t do anything for his own pleasure unless she allowed it. If she toyed with him for a good, long while and then finally allowed him to climax, the orgasm would tear him apart. What a way to go.

“Would that really turn you on?” she asked.

“It already has. Touch me if you want proof.”

Roping the Rancher

When Kit ropes the rancher, she’s in for the ride of her life.

Kit Morgan is Brokenhead’s sex therapist by day and
Dominatrix by night. While she never shies away from being
her true self, she rarely mixes business with pleasure until she
meets Greg Anderson, the owner of the only two horses in
this kinky two-horse town.
Submissive Greg longs to turn his ranch into a BDSM bed
and breakfast—a safe place to stay and play for those in the
kink lifestyle. He’s looking for a partner in life and business,
and he wonders if he’s found that in Kit.

Will they ride off into the sunset, or tie each other up in
knots?

Now available at eXtasy Books!

Enjoy this fun excerpt where Greg’s mother tricks him into attending therapy with her. Little does she know her “fix up” won’t work as this couple has already met!

EXCERPT:

“Yoo-hoo.” Trudy waved a hand in front of her face.
Kit blinked, noticing Trudy for the first time. “Hi,” she
repeated, then cleared her throat, attempting to return to a
more professional demeanour.
“Hey yourself,” Trudy said, stepping forward. “Greg
agreed to come with me today.”
“Indeed,” Kit murmured, extending her hand. “Nice to
meet you, Greg. Your mother has told me about you.”
“I’m sure she has.” Greg shook her hand briefly, then
dropped it like a hot potato. He brushed by her and walked
into the office.
As he passed by, she caught a whiff of his scent—a faint
odour of soap and hay. An outdoorsy combination she found
oddly intoxicating.
Trudy followed Greg inside, and Kit closed the door
behind them, then turned around only to find Greg staring at
her, his gaze piercing hers.
With her heart beating a mile a minute, she gestured
toward the couch. “Please sit down.”

Greg smiled and swept his arm to the side with a slight
bow. “Ladies first.”
Kit stood straight and walked with professional confidence
around the coffee table in the center of the office. Seating
herself in the plush chair where she always sat, she opened
her notebook and waited for mother and son to seat
themselves.
Trudy sat on the couch across from her. Greg plopped
down beside his mother and placed his hat in his lap.
“I notice you didn’t say she’s told you a lot about me,” Greg
stated without preamble.
Kit gestured between mother and son. “Well, according to
Trudy, the two of you don’t talk much, which would make it
difficult to tell me anything about you. And even if she did, I
keep everything in confidence.”
“Good to know.” The corner of his mouth twitched, and
the sexy smirk made her stomach quiver.
Kit felt her cheeks heat.
“You two going to get it on, or should we talk?” Trudy
interrupted.
Kit composed herself, then wagged a finger at Trudy. “You
asked for a session today to tell me all about your date this
past weekend. You could have given me a heads up that Greg
would be joining us today. I’ll have to charge you extra.”
Trudy waved a hand. “Girl, I could probably pay you in
cookies and you’d still see me.”
Kit shrugged. “Maybe, but chocolate chip cookies don’t
pay the mortgage. And there is such a thing as professional
courtesy.”
“Touché,” Trudy conceded. “I’m sorry I didn’t mention it.”
“Would you mind explaining why?” Kit asked.
A small snort got Kit’s attention. Greg was staring at them
with an amused expression on his face. “What?”
“This.” Greg waggled a finger between her and Trudy.

“This is great. I haven’t met a woman who isn’t flustered by
my mother’s wit.”
Kit batted her eyelashes. “I am a professional.”
“You think I’m witty, son?” Trudy placed her hand over
her heart. “I’ll take that as a compliment.”
Kit nodded at Trudy. “You are one of a kind.”
Trudy narrowed her eyes. “Is that a compliment?”
Before Kit could answer, Greg clapped his hands together.
“All right. I’ve got a ranch to get back to, so perhaps we can
get this session going. Mom, what is it you wanted to talk to
me about and felt better with Kit here?”
Trudy glanced at her wrist. “Well, would you look at the
time? I need to get going.”
Kit frowned in confusion. “What are you talking about?
You just got here, and besides, it’s your appointment.”
Greg heaved a sigh and folded his arms over his chest.
“Mom, you’re not even wearing a watch.”
Trudy scratched her wrist. “Huh… You’re right. It must be
my intuition telling me it’s time to leave.” She hiked her purse
onto her shoulder and stood. “You kids have a nice chat about
me, and we will discuss it next week.”
Surprised, Kit gaped as Trudy hurried from the office,
slamming the door behind her.
She turned to Greg. “What the hell just happened?”

Greg scratched at his head. “I don’t know. She told me she
wanted to discuss something with me, but she felt better
doing it at your office. Said she felt better with a professional
present.”
Kit muttered under her breath. “That woman will drive me
nuts one day…”
One of Greg’s eyebrows shot upward. “You’re talking
about my mother.”
Kit rolled her eyes. “As if you don’t know your own
mother.”

“You have a point.” He chuckled, lounging back into the
sofa, one arm on the backrest, long legs stretched out in front
of him. “There were times I thought she’d be the death of me.
Or I’d strangle her. But like you said—she is one of a kind.”
Kit swallowed hard, trying not to be affected by his sexy
sprawl on her couch. Moisture gathered in her pussy, and she
pressed her legs together, tugging down her skirt. “Well.” She
cleared her throat. “Your mom has paid in advance for this
session. Tell me how you’d like to proceed on her dime.”
“I find it incredibly hot that you don’t wear panties,” he
murmured.
She startled for a second, then zeroed in on him, her
Domme persona rising to the challenge. He needs to be taught a
lesson. Kit straightened her spine, intentionally thrusting out
her breasts and crossing one leg over the other slowly to give
Greg a good glimpse of what he wouldn’t be getting.
She noted Greg’s reaction to the red three-inch heels that
adorned her feet. She purposefully swung one leg for a
second, letting the moment drag out, and relished the way
Greg’s nostrils flared and his pupils dilated as he observed
her actions.
Kit stood, her feet shoulder-width apart, hands on hips,
and stared at him. Using her commanding voice, she said,
“Correction, slut. The proper response is, I find it incredibly
hot that you don’t wear panties, Mistress.”

Excerpt:

The door clicked then swung inward, steam drifting out.

Unaware of his presence, Toni looked behind herself at something in the bath. Her skin glowed from her shower and smelled of soap rather than her cologne. Her stretchy blue camisole and plaid boxer shorts clung to her damp flesh.

Zach’s heart beat violently. The tee slipped from his hand.

He told himself to pick it up and race downstairs before she saw him.

His legs refused to move.

Moisture dripped from her freshly washed hair and rolled down her temple to her cheek. Her thin satin strap fell over her shoulder.

Ignoring it, she lifted a brush to her hair, turned, and froze. Her gaze slipped down his naked chest, paused at his fly, and settled on his erection. Desire quickly replaced her surprise. Her lips parted. A gentle breath spilled out. She looked at him, her gaze receptive and yearning.

He slipped his hand behind her neck and pushed her into the door.

The wood smacked the doorstop and vibrated, matching the sounds from his sprinting heart.

Toni dropped her brush. It tapped across the linoleum.

Her skin was so ungodly hot, Zach thought he might die. He captured her mouth and drove his tongue inside, filling her as much as he could, his kiss savage, uncivilized, and punishing for making him wait…for making him want.

She suckled him deeper, her mouth tasting of peppermint toothpaste and female lust. She ran her palms up his pecs, wreathed her arms over his shoulders, and dug her nails into his back, imprisoning him with one leg wrapped around his.

Roused beyond control, he ground his stiffened cock into her mound and angled his mouth for greater penetration.

They made sloppy, lewd, joyous sounds, telling each other and the world they were alive, they deserved this, kissing brazenly for what might have been minutes. When the initial fury ebbed, their passion turned tender and exploring, stoking his desire even more.

Toni melted into him, her chest pumping with her strangled breaths.

Obsessive need sliced through him. He tore his mouth free, heaved air, and stepped back, forcing her leg from around his.

Wearing a disapproving look, she glanced at the space separating them then him pulling her arms from his shoulders.

She slumped. “What are you doing?”

“Shh.” He imprisoned her wrists in one hand, lifted her arms above her head, and held them to the door. The wood shimmied again. On a rough breath, he pushed her camisole up, exposing her right breast.

A faint sound rose from her throat, sounding like pure pleasure.

His legs went rubbery. Dizziness hit so hard he had to lower his head to stop it. Her nipple was a paler pink than he would have guessed, tight and puckered, waiting for his mouth.

He made his first lick unhurried, his tongue skimming the hard bud. His next was hungered, his laps exploring the bumpy areola and the creamy skin beyond it.

Air whooshed from her. She sagged against the door.

He tightened his hold on her wrists and cupped her breast, loving its weight and warmth, then drew her nipple into his mouth, sucked hard, soft, then hard again, incapable of settling on either. He wanted to fuck her raw on the bathroom floor, take her to the guest bedroom, tie her to the bed, and do things with her he’d done with no other woman.

Finished with her nipple, he slanted his mouth over hers, accepting her tongue and pulling it deep. He slid his hand over her boxer shorts and cradled her mound. God, God, God. His ears rang from too much desire. Perspiration broke out on his chest.

Toni moaned indecently, encouraging him to do more.

He dipped beneath the thin cotton fabric and touched her damp curls.

She spread her legs.

Good girl. As far as he was concerned, they could spend the entire day here.

After the book signing I held, I had more fan questions come in. I am taking the time to answer each one in video form and post them on IGTV and Youtube. Subscribe to my channels to stay up to date!

The first video I filmed focused on how I got into writing. After a health scare, I decided that I was the only one who could make my writing dream come true. I wasn’t very good, but I stuck with it and became an award-winning author.

The second video focuses on where I find inspiration and motivation to write. I talk about my internal motivation and discipline. If you have questions, please send them here in the comments, or through the contact form on my site. Thanks for checking it out!

A quarterback facing the end of his career must come to peace with his past, and accept his present, before he can move on with his future.
Mitch Ryland accomplished what his father said he never would—he made something of himself.
When his wife suggests she’d like to start a family, Mitch is thrown for a loop. He’s never told her about his life before he ended up with his foster parents or his plans never to become a father. So when he’s taken out of the game, his failings from the past come back to haunt him, and Mitch blames his injury on his loss of focus. He’s unprepared for his career as a professional quarterback to be over. Nor is he ready to tell his wife about why football is so important to him. He’d rather put emotional and physical distance between them and focus on getting back in the game.
Serena Ryland has dreamed of becoming a mother. But when she mentions the idea to her husband, he freezes her out and she has no idea why. She’s worried that if they don’t start talking soon, she’ll lose him forever. When he refuses to come home to mend from an injury, she takes matters into her own hands, determined to spend more time with him, hoping to reignite the romance in their relationship. But she’s unprepared for the things she learns on this trip. Her husband has been carrying a few secrets that just might change the outlook of their future.
Reader Advisory: This book contains oral sex in a public environment and light bondage.
Publisher’s note: This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone title.

Short Excerpt
Mitch sighed and shifted in his chair. The knee he could handle. Bruised and sore, he’d limp for a few days, but it was his shoulder he worried about most. This was the third time he’d dislocated it. The first official time the team doctor knew about. His fingers itched to massage the joint, but he didn’t dare. No way in hell would he show any sign of weakness. The one thing his father and grandfather had drilled into him from a young age. A lesson he’d learned well.
“It’s more than just a simple sprain or a bad bruise, Mitch, and you know it. This is potentially career ending, especially if you don’t do as I’ve instructed. You need to rest it. Whatever you’ve been doing to keep this from us isn’t helping. Today’s proof of that. And it’s not going to get better until you do something about it. And you can’t do something about it until you’re not on the field every day.”
Noah took a deep breath, his expression full of compassion. “Apply ice to reduce the swelling three times a day for fifteen to twenty minutes. That shoulder needs to be kept stable. We need the swelling to go down so we can take a good look at it. I want you to wear an arm sling for the next three weeks.
“I’ve scheduled an appointment for you three days from now then we’ll have a better idea what we’re dealing with. You’ll probably need to go through some therapy regardless of whether you end up heading down the surgery path or not. With some rest, maybe some therapy, and a light training regiment, we’ll see if there’s been any change.”
Panic swept through Mitch. He clenched his hands into fists on his thighs. “And if it doesn’t get better?”
“We’ll discuss that when the time comes.”
Mitch, well aware of the consequences, filled in the blanks. Surgery. Rehab. Months off the field. If he ended this season on the injury reserve list for next season, he’d miss training camp and wouldn’t be allowed to practice or play until the doctor cleared him. And if he did practice and aggravated the injury, or possibly made it worse, he’d be out for the rest of that season. Or longer.
On top of that, he’d have to deal with his standings. Out of play meant his rating would be affected and his stats would tank—and not only his. The team would take a hit as well. He’d disappoint the fans. He’d disappoint his friends and family.
He might never be the same afterward.
He’d end up a nobody. Just like he’d been told.
His football career may already be at the top of the spiral, just waiting for that push to send him off the edge and into the vortex. He’d always compared his life to a house of cards. Painstaking to build, easy to destroy. The king sits perched at the top, but then one slip, one tiny tug or poke on one of those cards and the whole thing would come tumbling down.
A tremor now rocked the house beneath his feet.

Short Excerpt

“Let’s walk. We can head over the park. If we see a bench and feel like it, we can sit.”

“Sounds good.” Jamie spun around, and she followed just a step behind him. Until they crossed the center of the square, dodging a dog chasing a ball, they didn’t say a word. Melissa sipped her coffee, closing her eyes in appreciation of the dark roast with a hint of hazelnut.

They reached the path that meandered through the park. He slowed his steps so she could catch up, and they walked side-by-side. Melissa searched for words.

“I apologize if my appearance yesterday angered you. I didn’t mean to upset you in any way.”

Jamie darted a quick look at her, his mouth curled up at the corners as he shrugged his shoulders. “You showing up there just surprised the hell out of me and I acted like a total jerk. I’m sorry about that.”

Was he apologizing for the kiss too? Because she didn’t want him to be sorry about that. It was the best kiss she’d had since…well, since the last time he’d kissed her.

“That’s OK. The last time we saw each other, I tucked tail and ran like my ass was on fire. I’m sorry.”

“So we’re both really sorry. How about we start over again?” he offered.

She smiled at him. “I’d like that.” She took a generous sip of her coffee and then a hearty breath. “Jamie. I’m…” She stopped before saying the ‘s’ word yet again. “I know you’re angry with me for the way I left back then.”

He lifted one shoulder and looked off into the distance. “It wasn’t your thing. I get that.”

“No, that’s not it all,” she rushed to say. Did he really think that? She loved what he’d done to her. “I—”

“I knew going into that night, it was a big mistake,” he interrupted.

A mistake? He thought making love to her had been a mistake?

“I tried for months to tell you that, Mel. The stuff I was interested in then…the stuff I’m into now, it isn’t for somebody like you.”

“But, Jamie, that’s—”

“I’d had too much to drink and I was so fucking hot for you that I let your pleas and your pretty face get to me.” He was hot for her. That’s good. Hopefully he still was. “I listened with my dick rather than my head. I should have driven you straight home from that party.” No. She started to shake her head but he kept going. “Maybe if I had, you wouldn’t have felt the need to invent a reason to leave.”

Author Bio

Shoes are her addiction, but books are her passion.  Anne Lange grew up with a love for reading. If you take a close look, she’s got either a book, her Kindle or her Kobo nearby at all times. You know, just in case there’s time to sneak in a chapter or ten.  Anne reads many genres of romance, but prefers to write sexy stories, often with a dash of humor, and usually with a side of those sinful pleasures your mom never told you about.  And always with a happily ever after.

While embarking on this wild journey of becoming a romance author, Anne juggles a full time job and a family. Though not always successfully. Who needs a clean house every day?  And what’s wrong with cereal for dinner? She lives in Ontario, Canada with her wonderfully supportive husband, three awesome kids who are growing up way too fast, and the family pets, Rocky the bearded dragon and Lily the chocolate lab.
